Customize Your iPhone Background With The Backgrounds Application

18 Nov
2008

In this video, I demonstrate how to easily obtain custom backgrounds for your iPhone.  It is done by using an application called “Backgrounds”.  It is available on the iTunes App Store for free.  Upon launch it shows you backgrounds which are Popular, Recent and by Category.  When you browse the backgrounds, you are presented with a 4 pane view of background previews.  You can tap each background to view it full size, and if you like it, click the “Save” button to save it to your camera roll.  I wish it would actually change your background but this functionality is not available in the application.  So if you want cool backgrounds for your iPhone, check out the Backgrounds application on the iTunes App Store.  Enjoy.

    Hi there,

I’ve just tried out the “Backgrounds” you recomended,
it does change the lockup screen to the picture i want but unfortunately it doesn’t show up on the app icon screen.

is there a way to display a picture like the way how your phone displays?

everyone is so dumb, these a wallpapers, not backgrounds.

even the app called itself backgrounds for some dumb reason

when you save a background (wallpaper) from the app you have to go to settings > wallpaper to change your wallpaper

    not backgrounds,
