In this video, I get a question from Ian, who writes: “1. When did technology first start to be a job for you instead of a hobby? 2. Is technology ever bad? 3. And if you could do a tour of your current set up?” Thanks Ian for a great question. Well my technology life started on IRC in college in 1993. I then got my first job as a computer lab operator where I extended my hobby to get a paycheck. My degree path was Mechanical Engineering, but I maintained the computer/IT tech hobby and moved into training and consulting. So that’s my history. Technology can always be bad depending who is using it and for what purposes. The technology itself is not necessarily bad, but it’s usage can be very evil. Look at malware, viruses, trojans, and the like. You will see evil in technology that is meant for good. As for an office tour, check out my ustream recording of it here: http://bit.ly/19W5gI Hope this answers you questions, Ian. Got a question, tip or concern? Email me at help@bwana.tv
