The name of the app is called WootWatch and it’s primary purpose is to show you the latest item on woot.com. It’s great for those “woot-offs” where woot sells many discounted items per day. This app allows one to view live video streams from the popular streaming site, justin.tv. I utilize justin.tv to do my high quality streaming and was happy to see an iPhone app finally come! There are great features to interact with your favorite justin.tv stream which includes a nifty chat bubble which updates as people talk in the chat. There are more features that I like and some that I hope will come very soon. Check out the video for more!

As a frog, the premise of this game is to eat as many flies as you can while avoiding the nasty bees. You gain points and health as you eat flies, and you lose health if you eat a bee or get bit by invading mosquitos. The game include various power ups such as dragonflies and fire flies. It utilizes the accelerometer to adjust the frog and you simply tap the frog to extend its tongue. At first it’s a bit difficult to get used to the accelerometer + screen tapping, but the learning curve is not too bad. Galaktagon has very simple gameplay. The purpose of the game is to destroy alien ships and avoid their fire. It’s old school look and feel are a great throwback to those days where we spent hundreds of dollars in arcades. This game is perfect for casual gamers who like simple gameplay and old school 8-bit music You use one finger to touch and move your ship and tap the screen to fire. I found the controls to be a bit awkward at first since you can’t move and shoot at the same time. I found that if you use two fingers, it’s a little bit better but I don’t know if I can do very well on the higher levels. Quake Info gives the most recent earthquake information around the world and closest to you with a couple of taps. The interface is fairly simple: it provides a list of the most recent earthquakes with the corresponding rating. When you drill down to an individual earthquake, it shows a map location, coordinates and summary information. You can then drill down again to the USGS earthquake information right from the application. A very cool feature of the application is that it utilizes the GPS chip in the iPhone which pinpoints the closest earthquakes to you. I learned that there were earthquakes in Alabama! Wow! If you are in an area that has frequent earthquakes or if you’re curious as to the location of earthquakes around the world, Quake Info is a great application for you. Napkin Genius allows you to draw using your finger on a virtual “napkin”. The application allows you draw over a blank napkin and existing images. Customization options include line size and color.
