If you have an Android phone, like the T-Mobile G1, you should definitely consider Ustream for your streaming needs. The app looks good.

This is great way to order food from your local Chipotle chain from your iPhone. The program can find locations of Chipotles for you and gives you a nice visual overview of their offerings. Twidroid is one of the highest rated Twitter applications on Android Marketplace, which prompted me to try it. I was not disappointed. Twidroid does the basic Twitter functions well. It provides easy access to replies, direct messages, and timelines. New tweets come in via the fantabulous Google Android notification system and allows you to drill down to the appropriate timeline. User functions are there and you can follow, unfollow, show profile, favorite, and send DMs. Twidroid handles pictures fairly well with the integrated camera. Overall, I can see why Twidroid is the top rated Twitter app for Android and I recommend it to G1 owners. Enjoy!

The Android Marketplace is Google’s answer to the iTunes App Store. Within the marketplace, you’ll find many applications both free and paid sorted by category. I had heard many stories about how much the Android Marketplace lacked applications, but I really didn’t find that to be the case. When compared to the iTunes App Store, sure it has much less, but there’s plenty there for the average consumer. The controls are simple to navigate, applications include a summary and reviews, and the pricing structures seem decent. I was unable to experience the purchasing process since the review unit I have does not allow one to purchase apps, but downloading free apps was a breeze. Every download occurs in the background and notifies you (via the wonderful Android notification system) when it’s complete. I’ve downloaded quite a few apps, and I plan to try many more using the Google Android Marketplace. Enjoy!

The application takes your existing photos on your iPhone or iPod Touch and gives you tools to overlay animal heads on them. It allows you to choose from several animal types to overlay: apes, birds, cats, fish, large mammals, reptiles or small mammals. Once you’ve gotten the photo you want, you can share them with your friends via email. If you take a lot of pictures of friends and family, you can have a blast with this application as it allows multiple animal faces per photo. Quake Info gives the most recent earthquake information around the world and closest to you with a couple of taps. The interface is fairly simple: it provides a list of the most recent earthquakes with the corresponding rating. When you drill down to an individual earthquake, it shows a map location, coordinates and summary information. You can then drill down again to the USGS earthquake information right from the application. A very cool feature of the application is that it utilizes the GPS chip in the iPhone which pinpoints the closest earthquakes to you. I learned that there were earthquakes in Alabama! Wow!
