This port of this old school title was brought to the iPhone a few months ago and I’ve been getting my fingers dirty playing it. The controls take a bit to get used to, but overall it’s pretty good. The graphics and sound are acceptable as well. There’s not much wrong with this port and if you love Final Fantasy, I think it’s worth the $8.99 price tag SquareEnix wants for it. Search for Final Fantasy in the iTunes App Store to purchase it.

The name of the app is called WootWatch and it’s primary purpose is to show you the latest item on woot.com. It’s great for those “woot-offs” where woot sells many discounted items per day. This app allows one to view live video streams from the popular streaming site, justin.tv. I utilize justin.tv to do my high quality streaming and was happy to see an iPhone app finally come! There are great features to interact with your favorite justin.tv stream which includes a nifty chat bubble which updates as people talk in the chat. There are more features that I like and some that I hope will come very soon. Check out the video for more!

It has a great control mechanism which utilizes both thumbs to control the ship and fire. The premise of the game is rescue humans while avoiding obstacles and enemy fire. It was confusing to see Apple include a camera on the new iPod Nano. There are several rumors which indicate the camera was intended but failed to work properly. These are rumors, but it would make some sort of sense. I don’t know when Apple could release a new model if it were to be fixed. Since Apple won’t be at Macworld this year, it could be as late as next June before we see an update to the iPod Touch again. Enjoy the video.
