In this video, I provide a quick playthrough of a new map for Left 4 Dead 2 (PC). This new map is actually not new to Team Fortress 2 players, but it is new to Left 4 Dead 2. It’s called “Badwater Basin” and it’s my favorite “payload” map in Team Fortress 2. The objective of this gametype in TF2 is to push the cart to the objective while the enemy tries to prevent it. In Left 4 Dead 2, the premise is very similar but it makes use of the “Scavenger” game type where you must fill the cart with gasoline to keep it moving. The zombies are doing their best to stop you from achieving your goal. By default, if you enable this feature, you hear a bell “ding” when you hit someone with your gun. As of the 01/13/2010 update, Valve has enabled us to configure our own custom sound for this. The steps are simple: Get a custom file you want, Copy it to the appropriate TF2 folder, Edit the config file to tell TF2 where it is. That’s it! My setup is fairly unique ( to what I’ve seen on the web) Basically Tucker, I’m using a more hardware solution than what’s currently out there. My video card (Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX) supports output to a TV/secondary display. I’m utilizing that feature to output my monitor to S-Video. In the software, I set my desktop to mirror displays (so my gameplay will be on both). The S-Video then runs into my Dazzle which runs into my streaming machine. So my gaming machine only handles the game and the output is handled by hardware. It’s a fairly streamlined solution in that it’s pretty flexible and supports a good framerate. In this video, I give a basic tutorial on how to change some the skins, objects, and particle effects in the popular Valve game, Team Fortress 2.  Note, this is only for PC and you cannot do these customizations on the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of Team Fortress 2.  Most of the customizations I use come from http://fpsbanana.com and require you to have a file extracting program such as Winzip or Winrar.  For almost every customization, you’ll just need to do 3 things:  1.  Find the customization you want  2.  Extract the file(s) to the proper location 3.  Test the customization on a server which supports custom skins and objects.  This process is fairly simple and the hardest part is deciding which custom skin or object to use   Enjoy

In this video, I give a brief description of the latest update from Valve on the popular game, Team Fortress 2.  In it, the Engineer class received a boost to two of the buildable objects:  The teleporter and the dispenser.  Both of these can now be upgraded to level 3.  The spy received a boost as well as he can now recharge his cloaking device by picking up ammunition or recharging at a dispenser.  There are also some misc particle effects and improvements in this update.  Enjoy!
